Poor mans shelter

This shelter was made during a small training camp with my team in southern Germany. We expected rain (heavy rain, to be honest) and so we improvised a shelter for our group. As ridgepole and for the front X-support we used pine and fir trees (standing deadwood), the ridgepole was lashed with paracord to a tree at the backside.
Nothing new so far...
What we did after the tarpaulin was tied into position was, to get some fir and spruce branches, clean them of all side-branches and weave them between the ridgepole and the tarpaulin. Being flexible, they shaped the roof of our shelter like an aircraft shelter, giving us a big plus in space and comfort...
With very little extra work we gained a much higher effort. Next time out, i will try this trick while rigging my own, personal tarpaulin!
