A new blade in town...

There are moments, when I really love my job... This is one of them! I received a hand-forged sample of a traditional nepalese kukri. And I cant help to admire that craftsmanship! The blade is well balanced and well crafted, the handle made from water-buffalo horns is polished and rugged, the sheath is simple and sturdy.

This kind of knife is a real "chopper", you can take down small trees with ease. Since its made of carbon steel, it holds a fair edge and you can hone it to a razor sharp edge. The backdrop is, it aint stainless, bzut hey, it is a tool, not a surgery intrument!
I highly recomend that knifes for any bushcraft use, although I already "pimped" my blade a bit. I had wrapped the sheath with paracord and also gave the handle a wrapping, next stage will be attaching an survivalkit to the sheath... stay tuned

Nice work on the wrap!
Check out my bushcraft blog for some suggestions on how to attach kit to a kukri sheath.
